Being that I’m a girl who loves lush, green, mountaineous scenery, I am always pleasantly surprised by how beautiful I find the desert. (I’m here visiting family, and its been a glorious respite.)
I took a walk this morning, and was drawn into the beauty of the desert landscape. I never thought I’d discover such beauty here–the vibrancy of the burgundy hue in the mountains, and the absolutely cute lizards walking along the cacti landscape beside the sidewalk. (Random question: WHY on God’s green earth am I so deathly afraid of any kind of snake, but slap some legs and a tail on it, and I think it’s the cutest thing ever?)
I’m on my way soon to lunch and a movie and good times with my family out here–my sisters, brother, his girlfriend, my Father and stepmom. I am filling up with rest and energy, and excited about the things God is revealing to me in my little moments of ‘desert epiphany’.
I thought it was high time I share some more Happy List Excerpts–little snippets of gratitude are always there for the taking if you want to find them.
