Happy Independence Day, America!

I hope as I am writing this that all of you amazing people in the USA are out celebrating our country’s birthday with fireworks and friends and wonderful times!

I have to admit, I’m actually experiencing a wave of homesickness.

Don’t get me wrong, I love this adventure in China, and I am soaking up every ounce of it, but there are moments, like this, that I wish I was home with the people I love.

Its a 2 show Saturday this weekend, so my next post may be not be as soon coming as I would like. The theatre world doesn’t much allow for ‘weekends’.

In other news, we got very, very sad news last night that one of our beloved cast members is battling illness, and at this point, may not return to our tour. In light of privacy for them and their family, I can’t say much else, except that those of you that read this and pray–please keep that person in your prayers. My heart is so heavy, I miss them so very much.

Because of that situation, I am now understudying another role in the show, and while I am grateful for more opportunity in the production, I am saddened by the circumstances, and would rather have our beloved cast member healthy and here with us.

I will post again soon–I hope you all have a fantastic holiday weekend!

  1. Great to see what you’ve been up to. So what did you discover as you read the book “What to do with your life.” Any revelations? I’m doing a full concert tonight here in Akron. Just me!! Hope you are well.
