Because Everyone Needs A Dream…A Review & Giveaway

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a dreamer. When I was 6 years old, I would bang out melodies on the piano keys, dreaming of the day concertos flowed effortlessly from my fingertips. When I was in junior high and discovered musical theatre, I dreamed of touring Europe in a professional musical, and singing and acting on the stage everyday. I’m happy to say that while it was not Europe, and I didn’t become a concert pianist, some of those dreams have come true. I have performed in musicals across the country and in different parts of the world. My music has been an integral part of that journey, and I’m forever grateful. Still, sometimes a dreamer needs to be reminded that it really is possible to achieve those dreams you carry, and that God really does specialize in doing the impossible. When we are afraid and put our dreams in a cage, he unlocks the bars and sets us free to do more than we can usually even imagine…
With gleeful smiles, a week or so ago, I unwrapped my new goodies from one of my favorite companies, Dayspring. I discovered their inspirational and beautiful products through one of my favorite blogs, Incourage and their independent consultant business, Blessings Unlimited. The lovely writer Holley Gerth has released a new line of products to encourage and remind us of the Biblical truths that not only are our God-given dreams possible, but that we are perfectly loved.
I placed my ‘dreamy’ sign next to my favorite figurine to give you perspective on it’s size. It’s small, but oh-so-beautiful.
Product Details:
  Size: 6″L x 6″W x 1 1/2D
Canvas wrapped wooden block
  Keyhole for hanging or stand alone
As you can see, there is a whole series of beautiful canvas pieces with inspirational messages in the set, but I must confess, my review product is my favorite. (And I’m a sucker for teal.)

I think perhaps I have found a mate for my other favorite canvas piece 🙂

Along with inspirational art, Holley Gerth has created a wonderful journal with such an important message we so often forget. I have spent more time than I care to admit pouring my fear and insecurities into various journals through the years. I love the happy light blue color of this journal, and the softness of the cloth cover. More importantly, it is filled with Scriptures and encouraging words to remind me of the Love God has for me. When I’m tempted to write words of negativity about myself, this journal reminds me of the grace-filled Love I am given that I don’t have to earn.
I can replace words of fear with words that bring life and healing…

“Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.” – I John 4:8

  1. Jeremiah 29:11
    While I suppose this scripture might not be one typically thought of about God’s love, I think it’s perfect…he has great plans for us and truly that’s a sign of love as well!

  2. Hmm, my favorite Holley Gerth product- that’s tough!! I love all these little plaques like this, they’re so cute, but I love the scripture on the already amazing mug and journal, such a perfect verse (no pun intended). It’s ALL gorgeous!

  3. From Psalm 23

    Psalm 23:4
    Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil;
    For You are with me;
    Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
