{31 Days of Playlists} Day 10…What’s On My Ipod? (A Random Shuffle Playlist)

If you’ve read other entries in this Playlist series (or seen the quirky pics lately in my Instagram feed to the right), you’ll know I have been performing in the operetta “The Pirates of Penzance” all week long…  The schedule has been grueling, but the artistic experiences and rewards have far outweighed our insane schedule.  Of course, that hasn’t left me much time to even think about blogging, let alone keep up with my supposed daily posts.  I am ever so thankful for readers that have stuck around for this series…even though it will no doubt go into November for me, I plan to finish all 31 posts – I hope you’ll stick around for all 31 playlists to add to your collection

and coming up this week, I thought I’d liven up our Playlist series with a giveaway!

(Details to come in the next few days).

I’m planning an upcoming post with more fun details of this past week, including my first ever blog video, but since it’s not quite ready, I thought I’d share a quick and easy playlist.  I’ve seen other bloggers post this type of playlist, so I thought I’d give it a go…  My ipod has always felt a bit quirky and eccentric, for all of the various musical styles represented, so I randomly scrolled through my ipod songs, and wrote down the first 15 songs that came up.  (Of course, a few of those tunes weren’t in the Grooveshark database, which I have listed below the main playlist. When I couldn’t find a song in the database, I added another random song from my ipod.)  I honestly thought it would be a little more eclectic, but the randomness of the songs is fun.  (And I was tickled that my only solo piece in “Pirates of Penzance” came up almost immediately! I haven’t even been listening to that track for weeks!  It most likely will just sound a little weird out of the context of the show…if you enjoy operetta, check out my favorite tune in “Pirates of Penzance”:  With Cat Like Tread.)  I usually re-arrange the songs to have a nice flow within the playlist, but I kept them in the order they appeared on my ipod for authenticity within today’s theme.

(Remember to scroll down to the songlist if you cannot see the Grooveshark player below on your ipad or smartphone.)
