{31 Days of Playlists} Day 16…Video Killed The Radio Star (And Mullets, Rubik Cubes & Cassette Tapes)

In light of the events of yesterday’s election, I thought it would be nice to post a fun and nostalgic playlist today.  Whether you are celebrating or mourning the election results, surely you can enjoy a lovely spot of music guaranteed to bring to mind side ponytails, leg warmers, hairsprayed-into-oblivion-bangs, and actual cassette mixtapes!

It was a bit daunting to create an 80’s playlist, given there were so many fun and classic tunes to choose from.  (I don’t think I’ve seen so many collections of music begin with the words “ultimate” since researching this playlist!)  While it would have been easy to list 50 or even 100 tunes, I thought I’d make this list a little smaller and more accessible.  I hope you find some of your favorites–and, like, have a totally tubular time!

(Kindly remember to scroll down to the songlist below if you cannot see the Grooveshark player on your smartphone or ipad.)
