The Victorious Light of Christmas…

The past week or so has been filled with quiet on the blog, as I have struggled to write anything substantial after beholding the horrific Newtown tragedy with the rest of the world.   While many writers find it therapeutic to blog about such things, I turn inward, perhaps only scrawling a few measy sentences in my journal that help me process.

I have also read the truth of Advent to remind me His Victorious Light always crushes the darkness.

  Upon reflection, I’ve realized the proper response for me to such horror to is love deeper, press further into God, and celebrate Christ’s birth with fervor and profound awe…  I have been spending the past week preparing to spend the holidays with my husband’s family.  We will step forth into houses filled with warm hearths and loads of loving faces, as we hug each other tight, belly laugh ’till it hurts, and reminds ourselves that Love is the strongest force we have.

Dayspring has these beautiful truth filled doormats on sale now– Find them here.

The angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.’

~Luke 2:10

{Dayspring graciously provided me with the lovely Redeemed doormat and Advent calendar, but all opinions and joy expressed about them is my own}
